Why limit your HD entertainment to just one HDTV? A 1x4 HDMI® Splitter (also referred to as a HDMI Distribution Amp) allows you to show 1 x HDMI source (such as Sky+HD, Blu-ray player etc) on 4 x HDTVs simultaneously.
The Splitter uses powerful High Speed HDMI signal processors so you can enjoy the latest HDMI 1.4 video features, including Sky 3D and 3-D Blu-ray* without any loss of quality.
In situations where long HDMI cables are connected, the in-built Eyefix® ASI chip continually monitors the HDMI signal integrity across all outputs – actively re-clocking and re-levelling data flow. This corrects the HDMI transmission effectively solving any distortion or degradation that can occur over challenging HDMI cable distances**.
For distances over 15m we recommend using an HDMI extender or an active HDMI cable. If the majority of distances are over 15m, consider the 1x4 HDMI over (Dual) Cat 5/6 Splitter or our HDanywhere™ range of mutiroom HD products.

*To ensure 3-D Blu-ray content is routed via the Splitter, High Speed HDMI cables must be used and any connected non-3-D compatible display must not be ‘active’ (i.e. powered off or in standby mode). The 3-D source player must not be able to ‘see’ a 2D only display connected to the Splitter.
**Achievable signal distances depend on the quality of the HDMI cables being used with the unit.

I have used this splitter to take a single HDMI signal from a Sky HD box (Amstrad) to four HD television sets one being a 50" LG set (25 metres away from the source connected via a 25m active HDMI cable, two further sets on the end of 15 metre cables and one local to the splitter connected via a one metre cable, all four sets work extremely well.
The picture and sound quality is perfect and synchronized.
This splitter does have an annoying feature however, when a set is either turned on or off the splitter resets and momentarily turns off the signal to the other sets, whist this is only a matter of seconds three at the most, it is annoying to those watching.
Note from HDcable: The signal resetting is an unfortunate and inherent element of HDMI. When another TV is turned on or off in the circuit all TVs need to renegotiate their handshakes between source device and TV. This usually takes 2-3 seconds.
