Why limit your HD entertainment to just one room? The HDanywhere™ 1 x 8 system allows you to enjoy your favourite HD source (such as a Sky+HD, Blu-ray or Apple TV) at 8 x HDTV locations up to 50 metres away*.

HDanywhere™ packages enable your HD viewing to be expanded to all the rooms you want, offering ‘whole house’ HD distribution with control at every HDTV location. It’s a professional multiroom system that you can install yourself for less than £100 per room. You can get more out of your expensive HD subscriptions and de-clutter your viewing areas by keeping the hub, source and connecting cables hidden in a cupboard without any loss of control.

The HDMI® transmission remains totally uncompressed, so pixel-for-pixel it is exactly the same as using a direct HDMI cable - there is zero loss of quality. HDanywhere™ uses the latest HDMI signal processors, so you can enjoy the latest HDMI 1.4 video feature-set additions, including Sky 3D and 3-D Blu-ray**.

Connection diagram for HDanywhere 1x8 HDMI over Cat 5 with IR Passback

An unpowered HDanywhere™ Display Receiver (RX) converts 2 x runs of Cat5e/6 LAN cabling back to HDMI at every HDTV location. You can control all the functions of the source (such as pause, rewind etc) through the RX as if you were sitting right in front of the box. An infrared magic eye connected to the RX ‘sees’ the remote control signals and sends them back to the central hub, where a transmitter ‘blasts’ them out at the source. To neaten your install, the RX can be wall or TV mounted using the screw wings.

The package includes:
Central Hub + Power Supply
8 x Display Receivers (unpowered)
8 x IR magic eye cables
8 x IR transmitter cables

Product Notes:
*HDcable recommends using good quality Cat6 cabling for best performance. Cat5e cabling can be used, but the achievable transmission distances will be reduced by roughly 20%.
**To ensure 3-D Blu-ray content is routed via the Matrix, any connected non-3-D compatible display must not be ‘active’ (i.e. powered off or in standby mode). The 3-D source player must not be able to ‘see’ a 2D only display connected to the matrix.
