Shipping and Delivery
General Delivery Information
FREE delivery is available to any UK mainland address & delivery for these items are usually within 3-5 days.
HD Cable aims to deliver your product right first time, every time. To help us achieve this HD Cable uses a number of delivery partners:
- Royal Mail
- DHL
- UPS
When can I expect my order?
Once your order has been handed over to the carrier for delivery, you will receive a shipment notification email.
The amount of time that your order takes to get to you will depend on the delivery option you selected at the time of order. Estimated delivery times for each delivery option are shown at the point of purchase.
The maximum length of time for UK orders to arrive is 5 working days.
Can I change my delivery address?
There is the option during the purchase process to select a different delivery address to the billing address.
Unfortunately once an order has been placed we cannot change the delivery address.
My order has shipped but I have not received it yet?
The carrier may have trouble finding your address or may have already attempted delivery when no one was home. Should there be any problems with your delivery, HD Cable will strive to inform you accordingly. Please allow at least 3 –5 working days for delivery for orders using the Free Delivery option.
Luckily, in the majority of late order cases a customer’s order is simply delayed in the postal system and is delivered only a couple of days late.
If 5 working days have passed since the expected delivery date please contact us to report the problem and we will take further steps to resolve the situation for you.
What happens if my delivery goes missing or is damaged?
In case of any problems with your delivery, HD Cable will be in direct contact with the carrier to resolve the issue as quickly as possible with as little inconvenience to you. We will make every effort to contact you and keep you informed of the progress of our investigation and where appropriate, deliver a replacement.
My order has arrived damaged.
If you have already received your order and find that it is damaged, please contact us.

Secure Shopping
We are ISIS & IDIS compliant and you therefore have the comfort of shopping on a secure Internet site that is protected by using encryption of all personal and payment information. Further details can be found under our secure shopping section in our terms and conditions.
Secure Technology
We are aware of the concerns customers have about entering their card details when carrying out a transaction. We have therefore implemented the following measures to ensure that paying via our Website is as safe as possible:
All your credit card and personal information is encrypted and held on a secure SSL (Secure Socket Layer) server. This protects data during transit, in particular the credit card information, from being intercepted and misused by hackers.
We use 128-bit encryption (this technology scrambles the data relating to your account to ensure that your information cannot be read by anyone else) and constantly update our technologies in line with new security measures.
Any information transmitted to us is encrypted (scrambled) whilst it is sent over the Internet. When it reaches us we then encrypt the content so that only authorised personnel can access it. This makes it very difficult for this data to be intercepted.
We ask you to enter the CV2 security number from the back of your credit or debit card, which helps to reduce the risk of Internet fraud being carried out.
You should ensure that the technology you are using is also secure.
Privacy
We will not trade, share or sell any customer details.
We do send regular e-mails about our best offers. Should you wish to stop receiving these, there is a simple unsubscribe link in every email.
Returns and Replacements
Returns Overview
At HD Cable we want to make sure that you are always happy with your product. In the unlikely event of any damage or a fault with your new product, we will deal with this immediately.
- Under distance selling regulations you are entitled to return any unused product/s within 7 days (starting the day after your product is delivered) for whatever reason.
- If you decide to return a product to us then you need to let us know, in writing, either by email, fax or letter, within this time period.
- To enable you to do this you must not have used the product and return it in the same condition in which it was delivered.
- There are some charges associated with this so please ensure you read the Returns Policy and our Terms & Conditions.
How can I return my item?
Returns can be arranged via contacting Customer Services.
If you do wish to return your order, or just certain items from it, please contact us first. Be sure to provide the following details:
- Your Web Order Number
- A contact phone number
- Reason for return
On receipt of your e-mail, we will provide you with a Return Material Authorisation (RMA) number. Indicating this number clearly on the packaging of the goods you are returning will help ensure that your returns are processed quickly.
How long does it take to process my refund?
Once your goods are back at HD Cable’s warehouse, your refund will be processed. Please allow 5-7 days for the refund to reach your account.
What happens if I have received a defective item?
If you're having trouble with your new product, please contact Customer Services immediately to report your defective product.
Ordering
How do I place my order?
Select the items you want to order and add them to your shopping basket by clicking the orange ‘add to basket’ button in the Buy Box. Shown in the Buy Box you will find a summary of the items in your basket. You can review your basket by clicking ‘view basket’ or you can proceed directly to the checkout by clicking the ‘Proceed to Checkout’ button.
Customers have the option to checkout anonymously as a guest or to register for a hdcable.co.uk account. It is advisable to register for a hdcable.co.uk account for future convenience with fast and easy check out and easy access to your order history and status. Choose whether to register or be a guest and then click ‘continue’.
The site will walk you through the checkout process step by step until your order is placed and completed.
Once the system has completed the checkout, you will receive an order confirmation email containing your order details.
Can I save an order for later?
You can save your shopping basket for later. All you need is to have registered for an account with hdcable.co.uk. Whatever items are put into your basket prior to completing the checkout process will be saved for the next time when you log back into your account. The saved basket is stored in your hdcable.co.uk account where you can review, change and delete the virtual order. Please note, you did not place the actual order until you followed the usual order completion steps. Once you placed the actual order, you will receive an email confirming your purchase.
How do I log out?
Simply close your browser window and you will have logged out. As an additional security measure, you will be automatically logged out after 30 minutes of inactivity.
Payment
Payment methods
The hdcable.co.uk Store accepts a variety of payment methods.
Credit Card or Debit Card
Credit and debit cards are processed immediately and are HD Cable’s preferred payment methods for fast delivery. Learn more about paying by credit or debit cards
Google Checkout
HD Cable also accepts the ‘Google Checkout’ payment processing method. Simply click on the ‘Google Checkout fast checkout with Google’ Button to complete your purchase with Google.
PayPal
HD Cable also accepts PayPal payments. Simply click on the PayPal logo to complete your purchase using PayPal.
Can I change my payment method?
The payment method for an order cannot be amended once the order has been submitted to HD Cable. To choose an alternative payment method, you will need to cancel your existing order and place a new order with your preferred payment method. Please note that when cancelling credit card orders, it can take up to 3 days for the payment authorisation to be removed by your credit card company. As debit cards are charged at time of ordering, HD Cable will need to process a refund if you decide to cancel your order.
Are my Credit/Debit Card details secure?
HD Cable’s payment processing partner is Protx. The security of Protx servers is closely monitored to prevent any unauthorised disclosure or use of credit card numbers and to protect the confidentiality of your personal information. HDCable.co.uk/Protx uses the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) industry standard, the highest level of security available today for web-secured applications. SSL relies on a pair of public an private key technologies provided by Verisign, Inc. and based on a 40-bit encryption algorithm developed by RSA Data Security, Inc.
How do I log out?
Simply close your browser window and you will have logged out. As an additional security measure, you will be automatically logged out after 30 minutes of inactivity.
What Credit/Debit cards can I pay with?
You can pay with the following cards:
- VISA
- MasterCard
- Maestro/Switch
- Solo
When will my debit card be charged?
Our bank will automatically debit your account for the value of your order when the order has been placed and accepted by HD Cable.
When will my credit card be charged?
When you place your order, HD Cable request authorisation to charge the order amount from your credit card company. Once we have received approval, HD Cable reserves the amount on your card until your order has shipped. Your card will be charged when your order has shipped.
Why was my credit card payment not processed?
Your credit card company may have declined authorisation to debit your card due to one of the below mentioned reasons.
- there may be a credit limit on your account
- the incorrect card type, number or expiry date was accidentally selected when placing the order
- there were dashes or spaces in the account number that could not be recognised
- a simple administrative step taken when the card holder is not present to sign for the transaction
- your card may be recently issued and has not yet been activated
If such a situation arises, we will inform you of this via email.
My credit card was declined, can I re-authorise it?
If your order was not authorised online, please confirm you have correctly entered your credit card details and place your order again. If you still have difficulties please contact your credit card company to make them aware of your order.
HD Cable will also continue to try reauthorising your card for 4 consecutive days, if this was unsuccessful, we will cancel your order and notify you by email. Unfortunately once your order has been cancelled, it cannot be reactivated.
Can I change my billing address?
Your billing address is the registered address that your credit card company holds. Please ensure that your billing address is correct at the time of placing your order. Once HD Cable has accepted your order your billing address cannot be changed as it would have already been authorised by your credit card company.
What if the shipping address differs from the billing address?
If your billing and shipping addresses differ and you are paying by credit/debit card, you may be asked for additional documentation before HD Cable can process your order.
In the majority of cases additional documentation will not be required.
Please attempt the order first before worrying about the potential need for additional information.
Can I place an order using a non-UK credit card?
HD Cable accepts most credit/debit cards from within the UK and outside of the UK. However you may be asked to provide additional documentation before HD Cable can process your order.
How long does it take to process my refund?
Depending on your payment method, it can take up to 7 working days for the refund to appear in your account once it has been processed by HD Cable.
Debit & credit cards are charged when the order is placed. For any order cancellations prior to shipping, you will automatically be refunded to your account within 5-7 business days. If your order has already shipped and you wish to return it to obtain a refund, please contact Customer Services.

Viewing Orders
Registered account holders can view their orders by logging into to the site and clicking on ‘My Account’ in the top left hand corner of the page. On the left hand side under the account dashboard click ‘My Orders’ to view a history and all current orders.
Updating Account Information
Registered account holders can update their account information by logging into to the site and clicking on ‘My Account’ in the top left hand corner of the page. On the left hand side under the account dashboard click ‘Account Information’ to view and update your registered details.
