The Pro-2 Range is the evolution of our now discontinued Pro range cable. It has retained the same strict ethos and thinking behind the range of having a very high specification whilst remaining highly affordable and superb value for money. A cable for the budget-conscious, but demanding savvy buyer.
In contrast to our Platinum Range, we have used a plastic headshell assembly as opposed to metal and not added a protective nylon cable jacket. These key material changes have enabled us to keep the retail cost low without actually compromising the cable’s performance.
The Pro-2 Range HDMI is a great value cable partner for any of today’s demanding HD devices. Whether connected to PlayStation 3, Blu-Ray player, Satellite HD box or top-spec HDTV, you can expect a perfect picture performance even at this incredibly low price.
Performance wise, the Pro-2 Range HDMI cable can still hold its own accommodating the high-speed, data intensive bandwidth performance required for the new 1080p 48-bit Deep Colour specification and beyond. The Pro-2 Range features an injection-molded plastic strain-relief headshell connector with 24k gold-plated contacts. Triple layered mylar foil shielding and a tightly woven copper braid, is also included for enhanced rejection of EM and RF interference.

What will this HDMI cable work with?
This HDMI cable is designed to work with any HD device that incorporates a HDMI connection - such as a Blu-ray player, PS3, SKY HD, Xbox 360, Virgin V+, laptops and computers (connections permitting) and amplifiers. Look out for the HDMI logo on your device, if it's there – this cable will work with it – ensuring the best possible picture quality that the device is capable of.
I need a HDMI cable longer than 15 metres – do you do custom lengths?
All our cables are manufactured in precise factory conditions and cannot be made to custom lengths. All our are real world tested to support Full HD 1080p at 60hz up to 15 metres. However, if your require HDMI Cable lengths longer than this there are additional options available to you. Most commonly, a HDMI extender/repeater block will extend the range of your cable run. For more specialist installations we also stock extra long active HDMI cables and HDMI over Cat 5 solutions which can potentially allow your cable run up to 120 metres.
What is the difference between your HDMI cable and other high street brands?
There is no difference in performance that’s for sure. The only difference is price. It is precisely because we do not sell our products on the high street that we are able to keep our prices so much lower. Buying directly from HD Cable means you are buying directly from the manufacturer, cutting out the middle-men, in this case the retailers & wholesalers. Without them taking their cut along the way, we are able sell our cables at a much lower retail price without compromising on the cable’s quality. But you don’t have to take just our word for it! How is this HDMI cable different to your Platinum Range cable?
In terms of picture performance, there is no difference between the Pro-2 and Platinum Range HDMI cable. The primary difference between the two cable ranges are the materials used in their construction and assembly. The beautifully elegant Platinum Range is robust in build-quality, featuring a metal headshell (as opposed to plastic) and a protective nylon cable jacket for maximum durability. The Pro-2 range is entirely plastic and designed with simplicity and function in mind.The Platinum Range is an elite cable design of an extremely high calibre.

Star Rating out of 5? I brought three of these cables to hook up an xbox 360 / dvd player and a V+ hd box to a 42 Inch HD tv. I have been impressed with the results on all three and the bargain price here as well. Service was fast and efficient - if you buy a cable in an currys or dixons or computer game outlet they will charge £15 min for a cheap and nasty cable.

Star Rating out of 5? This cable was an excellent purchase for the price. I have excellent picture and sound quality. HD Cable Customer Service is excellent (probably the best I have experienced). I am a bit of a novice and was experiencing problems with the reception for some Freeview channels . I emailed HD Cable and received a reply the next day and through correspondence with their advisor and after investigation I realise that this is due to signal problems and not the HDMI cable. HDMI sent me out a new cable without requesting that I return my first purchase – that to me is an excellent service. I will definitely recommend HD Cable and will purchase cables from them again. Very pleased with purchase and service.
