The HDMI with IR + Optical over DUAL CAT-5/6/7 Extender Kit enables the long distance transmission of HDMI video, the IR remote control signal and multi-channel digital optical audio over two CAT-5e/6 Ethernet cables.
Our latest and most advanced HDMI extender product - the Infinius model has a number of great features to make it the most versatile and reliable performer. Suitable the most demanding AV enthusiast or installation professional, everything is included in the box.
The kit consists of a HDMI Transmitter and Receiver device allowing the transmission of full HD 1080p video content, 5.1 audio and IR data for up to 50 metres without loss.
The Transmitter unit is conveniently unpowered to alleviate the number of power plugs being used at the source location. The included 5v power supply is only required for the Receiver unit powering the eyefix chipset.
Infrared Extension (IR passback) - allows any infrared remote control signals to be sent from the viewing area back to the source equipment location. (The IR emitter and receiver cables are both included in the package)
Optical Audio (SPDIF/Toslink) - ports are provided to allow for the extended transmission of multi-channel digital audio from the source device for use with surround sound systems.
HDMI 1.3 device support – Enjoy all the features offered by 1.3 devices such as Deep Colour and Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio.
Eyefix Technology - The InfiniusHD eyefix™ Signal Compensation & Correction Technology aids error free signal transmission for connection lengths of up to 100 metres (1080i) or 50 metres (1080p).
Note: For optimal performance we recommend using good quality CAT 6 (and upwards) cabling for 1080p transmission.

What devices will this HDMI over Cat 5/Cat-6 solution work with?
This cable will work with any HD device using HDMI™ connections - such as Blu-ray, PS3, SKY HD, Xbox 360 Vigin+, laptops and computers (connections permitting), AV receivers, HD displays, top spec HDTVs, monitors and projectors. Look out for the HDMI™ logo on your device, if it is there – this cable will work with ensuring the best possible picture quality that the device is capable of.

Star Rating out of 5? Great bit of kit that does exactly as advertised! Using in place of some unbranded models from another supplier that simply would not work at any resolution over a distance of less than 20m. The HDCables units are being used with a remote located Freesat box so only run at 1080i but they are rock solid and the IR feedback saves me from having tro deploy additional hardware to take care of this function. Will certainly be using again :-)

Star Rating out of 5? hooray, the technology works. run it from onkyo 876(sub hdmi out) through the outside wall for 15 m and again in to the bedroom upstairs to Panasonic G15 plasma. The picture quality is superb, even the upconverted SD SKY channels, no need to mention HD channels.remote passback is added bonus.
Highly reccomended and in my case it was very neat and clean installation.

Star Rating out of 5? Superb! I'd bought two cheap CPC Av18497 units and they simply would not work; infra red was patchy and the video cut on and off at 30 second intervals. After losing a week reterminating the Cat6 cabling and trying different resolutions, I gave up and bought these Infinius YKCAT3GB units. Lee-anne could not have been more helpful, even diverting to my office address when Google wouldn't accept it. They arrived prompt next day; the instant the units were connected they worked beautifully, not only that they have a high specification finish, with glossy mirror-finish motives on top that would grace any home. I'm really pleased and will purchase from HD again and recommend others. The CPC units are going back. recommends
