Connect your HDMI supported device to a DVI connection. The Pro-2 Range HDMI to DVI-D (Dual-Link) cable easily transmits the highest resolutions of video (not audio). Dual-link provides the convenience of backward-compatibility with AV hardware that is single-link-enabled only.
The Pro-2 Range is the evolution of our (now discontinued) Pro range cable. It has retained the same strict ethos of having a very high specification, whilst remaining highly affordable and superb value for money, a cable for the budget-conscious, but demanding savvy buyer.
In contrast to our Platinum Range, we have used a plastic headshell assembly as opposed to metal and not added a protective nylon cable jacket. These key material changes have enabled us to keep the retail cost low without actually compromising the cable’s performance.
Performance wise, the Pro-2 Range can still hold its own accommodating the high-speed, data intensive bandwidth performance required for full HD 1080p resolutions, making it a great value cable partner for any of today’s demanding HD devices. Whether connected to PlayStation 3, Blu-Ray player, Satellite HD box, top-spec HDTV or projector, you can expect a perfect picture performance even at this incredibly low price.
The Pro-2 Range features an injection-molded plastic strain-relief headshell connector with 24k gold-plated contacts. Triple layered aluminium-mylar foil shielding and a tightly woven copper braid is also included for enhanced rejection of EM and RF interference.
Please note: DVI cables are not capable of carrying an audio signal, only video. A separate audio cable will be required when using this cable for audio. To route a DVI signal with audio signals to a single HDMI connection use a DVI with Audio to HDMI Converter Unit.

What will this DVI to HDMI/HDMI to DVI cable work with?
This cable will work with any HD device using HDMI and DVI connections. These include Blu-ray players, PS3, SKY HD, Xbox 360 Elite, Vigin V+ boxes, laptops and computers, amplifiers, AV Receivers, HDTVs, displays and projectors. Look out for the HDMI logo or DVI connection on your device, if it is there – this cable will work with ensuring the best possible picture quality that the device is capable of.
I need a HDMI cable longer than 15 metres – do you do custom lengths?
All our cables are manufactured in precise factory conditions and cannot be made to custom lengths. Our Pro-2 Range™ HDMI cables are real world tested to support Full HD 1080p at 60hz up to 15 metres. However, if your require lengths longer than this there are additional options available to you. Most commonly, a HDMI extender/repeater block will extend the range of your cable run. For more specialist installations we also stock extra long active HDMI cables and HDMI over CAT5 solutions which can potentially allow your cable run to extend beyond 50 metres.
What is the difference between your DVI to HDMI cable and other high street brands?
There is no difference in performance that’s for sure. The only difference is price. It is precisely because we do not sell our products on the high street that we are able to keep our prices so much lower. Buying directly from HD Cable means you are buying directly from the manufacturer, cutting out the middle-men, in this case the retailers & wholesalers. Without them taking their cut along the way, we are able sell our cables at a much lower retail price without compromising on the cable’s quality.
How is this HDMI cable different to your Platinum Range cable?
The primary difference between the two cable ranges is the materials used in their construction and assembly. The Platinum Range is more robust in build-quality, featuring a metal headshell (as opposed to plastic) and a protective nylon cable jacket for maximum durability. The Pro-2 range is entirely plastic and designed more with simplicity, function and budget in mind. The Platinum Range is an elite cable design of an extremely high caliber and the Pro-2 is a functional but still effective design
