Most commonly, this adapter is used as an alternative to purchasing a separate HDMI Mini cable for use with smaller, more portable HD devices such as HD camcorders and digital cameras. Through the use of this adapter an existing HDMI cable can be utilized effectively to transmit the images without any loss of signal performance.
Can this adapter be used on the end of long HDMI cable lengths?
Yes. The adapter will not affect the performance of the cable; it is simply an addition the cable’s headshell changing the angle of the connector. We recommend using our HDMI cables with this product, available up to 15 metres in length. However, if your require lengths longer than this there are additional options available to you. Most commonly, a HDMI extender/repeater block will extend the range of your cable run. For more specialist installations we also stock extra long active HDMI cables and HDMI over CAT5 solutions which can potentially allow your cable run to extend beyond 50 metres.
