Key features
- SKU: HKIRKIT-UK
- Use your remote control from distant TV locations
- Easy and simple to setup
- Compatible with any HDMI equipped device
- Simply connects to an existing HDMI cable run
- Package includes everything you need
Relay your remote control’s IR signal down a HDMI cable from HDTV locations where the HDMI source device is out of sight/range of the remote control.
Compatible with any HDMI equipped device, with the IR over HDMI Magic Eye Kit there is no need to install additional cabling, you can use your existing HDMI cable. You can even use the IR over HDMI Magic Eye Kit with other brands of HDMI Matrix, Switches and Splitters.
Very easy to setup, the package consists of 2 x adapters that simply connect onto both ends of your HDMI cable run. Once connected the magic eye receiver dongle ‘sees’ the remote control signals and sends them back down the HDMI cable to be ‘blasted’ at the source by the transmitter dongle.
NB. Manufacturer HDMI link / CEC protocols such as Samsung Anynet Link, Sony Bravia Link, Panasonic Viera Link etc will not function during IR over HDMI mode. ‘CEC’ needs to be selected on the adapters to re-enable the shared manufacturer HDMI link functions.

- Does what it says on the tin Review by Davefevs

Star Rating out of 5? Does what it says on the tin. Needed to ensure that the transmitter was pointing at my sky box before I could get it to work. Also keep in view that if you connect an ethernet cable to your Sky Box (for Anytime+) that the IR cable will obstruct the port.

- Attempted to use this over fibre optic Review by MIKEB

Star Rating out of 5? Tried this HDMI Remote Control Extender over Fibre Optic, and it does not work. I have a HDMI Fibre Extender, Multimode over a distance of 70m. Both sides conver to HDMI and tried this Remote Extender. No luck !
--- NOTE From HDcable.co.uk ---
This product has never been designed to be operated over Fibre Optic, it is an IR *over HDMI* kit!
