MediaSwitcher™ will configure and control an HDMI over IP video matrix of up to 36 sources and 36 screens for the professional version and up to 8 sources and 8 screens for the consumer version. The software features an easy to use and intuitive interface. All the guesswork and effort is taken out of programming the ethernet switch. Simply open the configuration windows for the sources and screens and fill out where each item is attached to the switch. Then simply press a button and the switch is completely configured and programmed for you.
The professional version also supports two additional features: Preset and Sequences. A preset is a pre-defined source to screen relationship for all of the screens in the matrix. SImply pick the preset you wish and almost instantly, your matrix reconfigures itself. A sequence consists of up to 20 presets that execute in order at intervals of either a number of minutes specified by the user or a specific time of day or both. So an installation can have their configuration updated and changed on a desired schedule automatically throughout the day.

Supported on Windows, Mac and Linux installations. Below are the requirements for each platform:
Windows: Runs on Win 2000 through Win 7.
Mac: OS X v 10.2 or later PowerPC or Intel CPUs
Linux: x86 based distribution with GTK+ 2.8 or later, glibc-2.4, CUPS and libstdc+ +.so.6
Memory and processor requirements are typically very low. The software will operate on almost any CPU requires no more than 128k RAM.

What size matrix is supported?
Up to 36 sources by 36 screens in the Pro version and up to 8 sources x 8 screens in the consumer version
Is the consumer version upgradeable?

Can I copy the software on to multiple computers?
No. Each license is tied to the specific computer and user where it is installed. For commercial installations, we will issue up to a total of 5 licenses for a given site.
What if I upgrade to a new computer?
Contact Just Add Sofware support or your authorized Just Add Software dealer and we will work with you on this.
How fast does the software change sources?
Almost instantly. In most cases, it will actually be faster than you can notice! The switch between sources will look like a scene change in the content being viewed.
What switch models are supported?
At present we support the Dell PowerConnect 3500 and higher models and the Cisco Catalyst 2960 series. Support for additional brands is planned for future releases. If you have a specific brand/model you would like supported, please contact us.
What's a preset?
A preset is a pre-defined source to screen relationship for all of your screens. So for example, you could have a preset where every screen in your matrix is set to the same source. Or you could have a preset where every screen gets a different source. Or a preset where some screens get the same source and others different sources. We support an unlimited number of presets.
What's a sequence?
A sequence is a set of up to 20 presets that automatically change based on either a given time interval in minutes, time of day or a combination of both. So if you open your pub and want to have one configuration in the morning, another over lunch and a third for dinner, a sequence can make these changes for you automatically at the times you specify.
Can I change the channels on my satellite or cable box with this software?
At this time, no. We simply allow you to pick which source is assigned to which TVs. This is something we hope to be able to support at some point in the future.
I have more than 36 TV screens in my installation. Can I still use MediaSwitcher?
Yes and if you wish for the program to support a larger matrix size, please contact us and we'll work to make your requirements met with a custom build package.
